BRENT ADVICE FUND
The Brent Advice Fund (BAF) is a program of financial assistance created by Brent Council to help community organisations that provide advice in the following areas to the population of Brent:
- Money and debt advice,
- Welfare benefit advice,
- Housing advice,
- Advice for older people and disabled people.
Applications to the fund can be made by registering with the CVS Brent grants platform and completing an online form:
Please note that the fund will re-open for applications on Wednesday 22nd September.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 12th October.
Grant recipients will have 13 weeks to deliver (From November 2021 to mid-March 2022).
To be eligible to apply you must:
– Be a member of BCAN, OR
– Support the African Caribbean heritage community, OR
– Support Eastern European communities, OR
– Support emerging communities
Capacity grant applicants can apply for up to £3,000
Advice grant applicants can apply for up to £10,000
Applicants can apply for both advice and capacity grants. The maximum amount awarded will not exceed £13,000.
A “How to Apply to BAF” workshop is being held on 4 October 2021 at 2.00 pm. It is compulsory for organisations that have not previously applied for BAF Grants to attend the workshop.
1-2-1 appointments will be available to organisations on Tuesday, 5th October 2021 to discuss your outline proposal.

Decisions on the award of BAF grants will be decided by a panel which will meet on 26th October 2021.
