The Brent Advice Fund (BAF) is a program of financial assistance created by Brent Council to help community organisations that provide advice in the following areas to the population of Brent:

  • Money and debt advice,
  • Welfare benefit advice,
  • Housing advice,
  • Advice for older people and disabled people.

BAF provides two types of support grants:

  • Advice grants,
  • Capacity grants.

Applications to the fund can be made by registering with the CVS Brent grants platform and completing an online form:

BAF Questions and Answers

Decisions on the award of smaller grants are made by a panel which meets three times a year. Larger grant applications will be decided by Brent Council.

To make a grant application you must be eligible to join the Brent Community Advice Network (BCAN). Membership is free. More details on BCAN can be obtained by contacting Katherine Wilkinson kat.wilkinson@cvsbrent.org.uk.
