CVS Brent is an independent, capacity building organisation, supporting groups providing community services on a not-for-profit basis, for the local community; particularly those local to Brent. We contribute to the creation of an independent, trusted and sustainable voluntary and community sector (VCS) to further develop a thriving civil society.
We work with the statutory partners to develop new initiatives, such as the SIBI Project. CVS Brent have been commissioned by Brent Council to further progress this exciting project for another year. The Social Isolation in Brent Initiative (SIBI) project seeks to recruit a full-time SIBI Project Co-ordinator (for 9 months) to build on the existing project. The project has been running for two years and was set up initially with the input of key stakeholders aimed at tackling social isolation within the community.
We are looking to recruit an experienced person to make a positive difference with tackling social isolation. The post holder must have experience of managing projects, working with multiple stakeholders with good knowledge and understanding of issues faced by individuals facing social isolation. We require someone with excellent communication skills and with a passion for achieving positive results to take this project forward.
The post holder will be required to work with the steering group to develop a direct delivery of information and signposting service to clients that runs 5 days a week, expand the database of activities, recruit and train a pool of volunteers to support the project, promote the project, build excellent relationships with the local stakeholders, monitor and continue to develop the services to address social isolation in LB Brent. The post holder will work in partnership with Brent Council and Brent CCG and act as the main point of contact for Multi-Disciplinary Group (MDG) members and voluntary and community organisations linking in to SIBI services.
