SHORT NOTICE – Market Testing Event (Employment Related Services) – 20th May, CVS Brent Training Room – 10:00am – 01:00pm
Brent Council is proposing to commission a new Provider Framework Agreement for the procurement of employment related services. These services will deliver valuable, high quality interventions across Brent and our priority neighbourhoods, working with our residents most in-need.
This is a great opportunity to play a part in our ambitious vision for a co-ordinated response to some of the most challenging employment issues facing Brent residents.
We are holding a market testing event to consult partners and provide further information about our proposed Framework.
Find out about the role of the Framework and the emerging Brent Employment, Skills and Enterprise strategy.
What it will mean for providers and consortia in Brent and how employment related services will be commissioned by the Council.
How we plan to select providers and the proposed application process.
What we are looking for in employment related services.
An opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification.
Please note this is a market testing event. A later information event will be held after the release of the Invitation to Tender (ITT) to run through the specification in detail.
The Framework is open to all interested providers and consortia and we encourage all interested parties to attend this introductory event.

REDUCE YOUR TELEPHONE, INTERNET & OTHER BILLS WITH CVS
CVS Brent is exploring cost saving measures for its members so that more of their income can be used to protect vital services for the most vulnerable people in our communities. One of these ways is to create a joint purchasing arrangement with key utilities for voluntary & community (VCS) organisations to operate effectively through a consortium approach. At this stage, CVS Brent is reviewing Internet and Telephony services for the wider VCS. Depending on the level of interest and our success with joint purchasing, CVS Brent may also look at cost saving measures in other areas including stationery, printing and back office functions (e.g. finance).
Joint purchasing Internet and Telephony services can bring many benefits, such as:
saving of up to 40% e.g. through cheaper calls.
increased quality of service for beneficiaries e.g. video presence for increased service user contact
peer learning & support e.g. easier joined up working between organisations
shared resources and raised profile. e.g document sharing and control
